Flat Feet

Flat foot deformity is a very common problem that affects all age groups (from young children to the elderly). There are many different structures that contribute to the support and alignment of our feet and sometimes when one/or more of these structures is injured or fails it results in painful flat feet. Additionally flat feet can also contribute to pain further up the lower limb including the knees, hips and even lower back.

Flat foot deformity is a highly complex phenomenon as it typically involves multiple joints being affected at the same time. To establish the type and severity of your flat feet we conduct a thorough biomechanical examination and gait analysis (assessing your walking). This allows us to fully understand why your feet are flat and know how best to treat it.
